Introduction to Facial Rehab

This training is predominantly aimed at Speech & Language Therapists and Physiotherapists who wish to learn more about the management of facial palsy. Other professionals working with this patient group are of course welcome to attend. The training is applicable to those working in stroke and neuro services and will:

  • Provide information about the face
  • Discuss how to approach the topic from an MDT perspective
  • Share advice and techniques
  • Promote an open dialogue with patients about their facial changes

The training will be provided by Liz Mariner (Specialist Speech & Language Therapist in North Manchester Community Stroke Team) and Naomi Bold (Senior Physiotherapist in Oldham Community Stroke Team).
