Established in 2015, we are a collaborative partnership of NHS providers of neuro-rehabilitation services in the Greater Manchester region. We work closely with clinicians, patients & families, commissioners and other stakeholders to improve services.
The Network is supported by a small core support team comprising a Clinical Lead, a Manager, a Facilitator and an Administrator. The activities of the Network are directed and overseen by a Board, chaired by Dr Mark Kellett, Medical Director for Greater Manchester Neurosciences Centre.
We have been established to deliver a whole-system neuro-rehabilitation service across Greater Manchester that provides high-quality person centred care; improves experience and outcomes for patients and improves patient flow. Our activities cover current services as well as ensuring services meet the needs of the population in the future.
The Network is hosted by Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and covers inpatient and community health and social care services across the Greater Manchester region.
Following a brain injury, rehabilitation often starts within the hospital/inpatient setting followed by continued rehabilitation within the community. Within Greater Manchester the inpatient neuro-rehabilitation services are:
